Great Lakes Spring Training 2024

Mark your calendar for Great Lakes Division Spring Training Conference on Friday, March 2, and be sure to come in time for the not-to-be-missed Friday Night Social March 1. Registration for the Conference is $30 a person and includes the in-demand Shigs 'n Pit buffet everyone craves. Friday night's social is $10 for all the amazing Casa d'Angelo pasta you can eat again this year. https://www.motorsportreg.com/events/gld-spring-training-conference-2024-summit-scca-great-lakes-division-564592

The agenda is building and will be jam-packed, as always. Our superb GLD specialty leaders and members are busy planning their 2024 sessions. And these 8 National office team members will join us – Mike Cobb, Chris Robbins, Rick Myers, Andrew Benagh, Jon Krolewicz, John Hunter, Kathy Barnes, Kristen Poole –to offer sessions in their specialties and listen to members .If you have a session you’d like to see hosted – or you want to host a session – reach out and let Val know (see below).

Spring Training Conference will be held in Fort Wayne, in a new location, The Summit, an amazing corporate setting (1025 W. Rudisill Blvd, Fort Wayne, IN 46708). We’ve got the entire facility for GLD – it’s all on one floor for full accessibility, with an auditorium, ample large classrooms, open spaces for gathering, and a ton of extras, including the highest technology in every room. It’s surrounded with parking and easy to find in the city. Check out The Summit by clicking here: https://eventsatthesummit.com/meetings-events/meetings/

A group rate for hotel guest rooms will be secured on both the north and south ends of Fort Wayne’s I-69 to make it easy for you, no matter which direction you come from. The Friday evening social will most likely take place in the south I-69 hotel; another detail in the works.

All day Saturday we’ll have the Information Table again, so if your region or you have something to share, pass out, give-away, etc, start gathering now. This will be a great place for a Region Event Schedule or an Event Promotion Flier, for example. Yes, this is separate from the Silent Auction!

We’ll offer the Silent Auction again, too. Think about an item(s) you might want to donate, then put it on the list to bring with you. Last year we had motorsports memorabilia, hand-crafted designs, race ties, specialty creations, jars of home-grown catnip ... each was fought over in ongoing bidding!  You will set a minimum bid (if desired) and be recognized as the donor. Proceeds will be split 50/50, half to Great Lakes Division, half to the SCCA Foundation. Contact Val for more information or simply bring your donated item(s) with you and we'll fill out an Auction Bid Sheet.

Watch for the agenda to be posted soon. IF YOU WANT to mail in your registration with a check, reach out to Val. QUESTIONS? E-mail or call/text Val McCammon (pyramid@bluebirdview.com; 260-437-6707)
