2021 SCCA GLD Rally Championship Points Standings: A pdf of GLD Rally Championship standings following Detroit Region's August 7/8 rally weekend is attached (as are Are You Territorial and Lazy Daze leg scores). Please address any questions about errors or omissions in these standings to Piotr Roszczenko or Greg Lester. For those unfamiliar with the GLD Championship points award scheme: Points are awarded based on a simple schedule wherein class winners receive 10 points (or number of teams entered in that class, if more than 10). Teams placing second in class receive 1 less point, etc. Bonus points are awarded to Limited and Stock teams for each team in a class that allows more sophisticated equipment that they beat or tie. 2021 Route of All Evil:
A short message from rallymaster extraordinaire Frank Beyer (aka Dr. Devio) about the 2021 Route of All Evil:
Friends, My formula is to find nice roads, write up a course with some fun (Dr Devio) stuff in it and call it Route Of All Evil (subtitled to keep them separate in my mind). I’ve been at it since 1975. Every few years I have a package I’m happy with and try to get you to come enjoy the ride with me. The last Route (Easier Said Than Done) was in 2018, a Divisional tour event in the Norwich/Cooperstown/Oneonta area that everyone seemed pleased with. I had some roads left over in the area and I’ve been planning to go back; Covid precautions put a kink in my schedule but gave me additional time to work out some ideas.
LET’S PLAY TWO!!

10/31/21: ROUTE OF ALL EVIL (Deceptive Bends)
Yes, there’s enough to fill up the Halloween weekend. Finger Lakes Region SCCA is allowing me to warm everyone up for their Winter Series with two separate 190-mile Regional Tour rallies running in daylight before hunting season and snow take Upstate New York prisoner. We’ll be in rural areas; I don’t want anyone getting stuck in the dark. The rallies are listed as “Regional” to allow me to bend the rules for your (and my) enjoyment but both are high-quality events; you shouldn’t get lost (these are “Tour” rallies) but you’ll have to be alert. And, on Sunday, the Equipped class will not be eligible for awards (you can still get Honorable Mention, just not “win”). The sanctions and insurance are in place. Registration will be handled through MotorsportReg.com. I wanted to give you a heads up so that you can plan ahead and lock in a seat; I may have to limit the number of teams in order to fit into the daytime window on Saturday. Please get back to me at rallydr@gmail.com and I will “save” your place and keep you informed with any new Route news, including times, places, etc. Frank Beyer, Rallymaster
